Free Continuing Education for Small Business

Hello Everyone,

My name is Teri England. My partner and I started our Spray Foam business Jan. 2010. I've been in the building trades for over 20 years and my partner has been in the spray foam industry for over 30 years.

As we both worked most of our careers for others and did not see a return on investment of time, so we decided to pool our strengths and take a leap of faith in this challenging economy. We started Smart Choice Insulation and Roofing, LLC in Bend, Oregon. We are willing to work anywhere, so the opportunities are boundless.

Spray foam has been around for a long time, but many folks in the Pacific Northwest are not familiar with it's uses and benefits. We spend allot of time education individuals and companies.

What a great decision it has been. We ended our first year on a positive financial note and our second year is strong. We have both short term and long term goals. As well as an exit strategy.

I stumbled across this site and have been glad it it here. I appreciate the opportunities to learn more in areas that are not my strong suits. I believe in seeking help when it's needed. I applaud those individuals here that offer their expertise.

Thank you very much!

Teri

It is wonderful to hear that your new business is doing well. Do you happen to know if adding your foam spray insulation to a home would qualify individuals for the Home Energy Efficiency Tax Credits? If so, that could be a great selling point to remind your customers.

Has anyone else made energy efficient home improvements recently?

Don’t forget to attend one of the upcoming webcasts for valuable tax related information.

Best of luck Teri and everyone at Smart Choice Insulation and Roofing, LLC!
